Project Saturn-Star

Yay! I finally drew a picture of Matt and Saturn together! (And just for those of you who were wondering or might be thinking something strange, these two are brothers.) This shows PREFECTLY each one of their personalities, it's so beautiful!!! So why the title Project Saturn-Star? Well, I did start to write a little story thingie about these two, that turned out to be pretty long... it will kind of explain it... but it's just a rough draft :

Professor Angela Star looked in on the dormant test subject, quickly wrote something down on her paper and smiled happily. Everything was going smoothly.

She hadn't been so sure about this experiment at the beginning, not only did it seem extremely difficult, but it had been pitched to her by her ex-boyfriend, Marc Star. His plan was, without the knowledge of the upper GUN executives of course, to combine the DNA of both Sonic and Shadow the hedgehog using DNA samples he acquired from the Space Colony ARK. It certainly took him a while, but he finally convinced Professor Star that it would be time well invested. One thing she didn't agree to though, was the name. "Project Saturn-Star." Marc had explained his name would be first only because of alphabetical order, but she still disliked it.

"I can't wait to awaken our little boy!" Professor Marc stated, startling Angela. "He will be the perfect son!"

"Yeah, right," Angela scoffed mockingly, "'Our little boy!'"

"What should we name him?"

Angela thought for a moment, naming their test project was not the first thing on her mind, but she did know what she wanted to name her first son. "Matthew!" she stated. "We should call him Matthew."

Marc shrugged, "I was thinking more along the lines of Maxwell, but Matthew works too."

An attendant came running in, a tightly wrapped bundle in his arms. “Hello Sir and Ma’am, I think I may have something that would interest you!” He unwrapped the bundle and exposed a beautiful blue gem. “I think it’s one of those ‘Chaos Emeralds,’ it was recovered from the ARK.”

Angela picked up the emerald and fingered it fondly; it was an amazing find, worth well into the millions. Suddenly Angela dropped it, startled as the emerald began to glow. It began to levitate, shining with an ancient light. Without warning, the emerald emitted and earsplitting vibration, knocking everyone in the room to the floor. Just as quickly as it began, the whole affair ended, leaving the scientists to assess their damages with ringing ears.

Angela immediately looked toward the stasis tube keeping their project alive to find it in pieces across the floor. She let out a moan and went running down to the site, but misjudged her step and went flying towards the glass strewn ground. A scream escaped her as she braced for the impact, but nothing came. She looked up, a blue hedgehog was holding her just inches above the floor, his blue eyes staring straight into hers.

“Are you… all right?” he asked slowly.

She nodded dumbly as the hedgehog set her down. All at once she found him wrapped around her legs, crying out loudly.

“Oh it’s okay little one!” she said, picking him up and cradling him in her arms. “There’s no need to cry!”

He looked up at her, his big eyes shining innocently, “R-r-eally?” He sniffed, “Wh-what about him?” The hedgehog pointed towards a black figure staring at them emotionlessly, his eyes equally as blue as the hedgehog she was holding. Marc had already gone to inspect the black creature, his eyes widening at his strangeness.

“Well…” Marc said with a smile, turning to Angela, “looks like we get to use both of out names after all!”
